Elizabeth Braddock ha pasado meses como prisionera de Mojo, en otra dimensión, donde él la convirtió en Mariposa Mental, la estrella del programa de televisión llamado Wildways.
Con control mental, Mojo hizo que Betsy disfrutara ser su esclava. También le dió un par de ojos biónicos para reemplazar sus ojos naturales, los cuáles había perdido.
Doug Ramsey pasaba por tiempos difíciles como Cifra, miembro de los Nuevos Mutantes. Pensaba que no valía nada y que solamente era un estorbo para sus compañeros.
Pero fue Doug quien logró hacer que Betsy viera en sí misma la fuerza necesaria para liberarse de Mojo. Su compasión lo hizo no juzgarla cuando ella no se atrevió a renunciar a los ojos que Mojo le había dado, incluso si ellos ponían en peligro a su nueva familia.
Betsy encontró en Doug el amor más puro que pudo tener en toda su vida.

Avec contrôle mentale, Mojo l'a fait s'amuser à être son esclave. Il lui a aussi donnée une paire des yeux bioniques pour remplacer ceux qu'elle avait perdus.
Doug Ramsey avait des difficultés comme Cypher, membre des Nouveaux Mutants. Il pensait qu'il était sans valeur et qu'il n'était qu'un obstacle pour ses coéquipiers.
Mais Doug a aidé Betsy à trouver dans elle-même la force necessaire pour se libérer de Mojo. Sa compassion a fait Doug ne pas la juger quand Betsy n'osait pas renoncer à les yeux que Mojo l'avait donnés, mème s'ils mettaient sa nouvelle famille en danger.
Betsy a trouvé en Doug l'amour le plus pur qu'elle pourra avoir dans sa vie.
